About Us

Our Mission: Acting in harmony with the Earth we own, to provide high quality hand-planted Christmas trees, fresh handmade wreaths and greenery, nursery stock and wonderfully crafted seasonal gifts. All served from a hand-scribed Log Cabin with tidings of peace, joy and respect for nature's gift of celebrating with a real Christmas tree.

Here we sit among the scent of fresh pines and firs, bolts of many ribbons, pruning shears, dirty work boots and gloves. Fed Ex has just left bundled with boxes. Laughingly, we wonder how this all got started until the drift of an early snow reminds us of our love for our native and beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods.

Meeting while in college, we later penny-pinched and put our collective dream of working for ourselves into starting a choose 'n cut tree farm from a worn out soybean field purchased in 1981. Ten years later, after field trials and errors and the tender care of baby seedlings from sub zero weather to scorching sun, we launched Lowes Creek Tree Farm as "Open."

Along the years with infants in backpacks and then, toddlers in strollers, we continued each season improving our trees and services to meet and exceed the hallmark standard of quality that is now our earned reputation - always listening to customers and excited about their custom requests.

Our "farm" now includes our Nigerian Dwarf goats, spring lambs, various 4-H chickens, laying hens and guinea fowl along with the many woodland projects designed to preserve our homestead for our future generation.

We, too, have come to know and appreciate You, our customers as we watched families grow, new families being started and memories being created with visitors of all kinds and sizes who walk into the Cabin with wonderment. The response from the scent of fresh greenery is always the same ... excited "oohs" and "ahhs"! What started as a dream to create happy memories continues today with the hope to share a piece of our Midwestern Northwoods serenity, fragrance, and heritage with you. Enjoy.
